KING COUNTRY RIVER CARE INCORPORATED
Formed in 2018, we're an incorporated society taking a long-term view to care for our environment, our people and our communities.
We’re helping farmers understand their environmental impact and get ahead of anticipated regulatory change by pooling their resources. We aim to build knowledge and understanding, source funding, and work alongside farmers to promote sustainable farming practices.
Our catchment areas cover over 200,000 hectares and an estimated 5,000km of rivers and streams. Our geographical boundary extends from the Mokau River in the south, to the Kawhia Harbour in the north and across to Maniaiti /Benneydale and Rangitoto in the east.

King Country Rural Expo brings together farmers, growers and rural service providers for an informal evening of connection, practical ideas and industry updates. The event provides an opportunity for local farmers to engage directly with exhibitors, explore tools, technology and services relevant to their operations, and hear short presentations from industry partners. Positioned ahead of the winter season and Fieldays, the Expo is designed as a practical, community-focused event that supports networking, knowledge-sharing and stronger connections across the rural sector.

Guests enjoyed an enjoyable mix of networking, shared stories and plenty of laughs, with magician and comedian Brendan Dooley leaving the crowd in stitches and disbelief with his clever tricks and quick wit.
